The RSPCA is appealing for information after an emaciated elderly German Shepherd was found collapsed in Birmingham.
The male dog, thought to be aged 10, was found collapsed on a grass verge in Blossom Grove, Hodge Hill, on Monday (11 Jan).
He was immediately taken to the vets but he was so ill that he sadly died later that day.

The RSPCA is urging people to think carefully about the commitments of getting a pet after a poorly kitten was dumped in a blanket by a bin in Sutton Coldfield.
The 10-week-old black male kitten was found by a member of the public at 1.30am on Friday morning by an industrial bin in Birmingham Road.
The kitten, who has been named Belushi, is now in the RSPCA’s care. The young kitten was found to be suffering from cat flu.

A plucky kitten who got her head stuck in an industrial bin drainage hole has been rescued in a joint operation between the RSPCA and West Midlands Fire Service.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a group of teenagers were seen attacking a puppy in Birmingham on Wednesday evening (30 December).
A member of the public heard the puppy – a Staffordshire Bull Terrier aged around five months old – yelping after being forcefully kicked by the group, who were also seen dragging him on a lead.
