The search is on for the owner of a tabby cat found in Newport with an eye problem.

RSPCA Cymru was alerted after a member of the public found the neutered male cat in the Marlowe Gardens area of the city.

It is believed the cat may be lost from home as he is “very friendly”, and the animal welfare charity is now appealing for information in the hope the owner may come forward.

An appeal for information has been launched by RSPCA Cymru, after a cat was abandoned in a taped-up cardboard box in an A548 lay-by.

The female tabby cat, with white chest and feet, was found on the coast road, near Mostyn, Holywell. The cat was rescued on Friday evening (August 11).

A three-legged cat from Macclesfield who went missing for a month has been reunited with her family – after she was found 45 miles away in Liverpool.

Brandy, an 11-year-old tabby and white cat who had a leg amputated when she was two, was reunited with her worried family thanks to her microchip.

The RSPCA is hoping to give an elderly cat rescued from a dual-carriageway slip-road a happy new year by reuniting her with her owner.
