There was a happy ending for a swan who was released back to the wild on Wednesday (9 September) after being shot in the head with an airgun. 
The stricken swan was rescued by the RSPCA on 1 July after he was found by a passer-by with blood coming from the wound in airgun hotspot on a stretch of river in March, Cambridgeshire
