Two stags who escaped from a park onto a dual carriageway in Nottingham have safely been returned to their herd after a joint rescue operation between the RSPCA, the police and local council.

The pair of native red stags were spotted by motorists near to the Queen’s Medical Centre roundabout in Nottingham at 9am this morning (5 May), after escaping through a vandalised fence at nearby Wollaton Park.
