The RSPCA is appealing for information after a man reportedly mistreated a dog outside a pub in Stoke-on-Trent.
Witnesses who saw the incident said that the man threw the dog in the air a number of times and let her drop to the floor.
He was confronted by members of the public following the incident, on Thursday evening (12 Oct) outside The Greyhound pub in Manor Court Street, Penkhull, but he walked away and left the dog behind.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after four kittens were abandoned in Stoke-on-Trent – of which two sadly died.
The week-old kittens were crying when they were found in a box at the side of a road in Settle Grove on Thursday 31 August. The member of the public who found them took the kittens back to their home and called the RSPCA.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a kitten was dumped in a tied-up carrier bag in a Staffordshire street.
A member of the public was alerted to the black and white cat, thought to be around ten months old, after noticing the carrier bag moving in Carver Road, Burton-on-Trent.
The cat had blood around her neck, thought to be as a result of a collar being too tight, and was covered in fleas.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a poorly cat with a deformed tail who was unable to walk was dumped in a box in Stoke-on-Trent.
A group of children witnessed a woman, who had a dalmatian dog with her, dump the cat in Wileman Street at around 4pm on Thursday, 31 August.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a pony with a severe injury to her leg was abandoned in a field.
A member of the public reported the pony to the RSPCA after spotting her in an open ploughed field in Whitehouse Lane, in Codsall, South Staffordshire, on Friday, 18 August.
