The RSPCA is appealing for information after a dog wandered off the metro at Gateshead station alone with a suspected stab wound.

 

The male brindle and white Staffordshire bull terrier was spotted by staff who called us at around midday on Saturday (12 January).

 

RSPCA inspector Rowena Proctor said: “The poor boy was crying out, whimpering and clearly in some distress.

 

“He had a one inch wound to his back, which was infected.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a dog was found stabbed in the head in a fly-tipped suitcase in Halifax.

 

The ‘big strong healthy’ male bull breed was wearing a collar and lead which was found wrapped around his front legs, as if to restrain him.

 

The case was dumped alongside a fridge freezer in a layby on Heath Hill Road, Wharley. Council workers made the grim discovery on Friday (26 January) and called the RSPCA.
