Approximately 400 humans and hundreds of dogs took over Bute Park on Saturday (May 18) as the hotly-anticipated Big Walkies Live returned to Cardiff.
The event marked a “celebration of dogs of all shapes and sizes” – as canines and their owners enjoyed two scenic walk routes through the beautiful surroundings of the central Cardiff-based park.

The RSPCA has launched an urgent search for the owner of a three-legged cat, found dumped in a recycling bin, covered with fleas and ticks, in Pontypool.
Charity staff were contacted when the cat was found in the South Wales town last Wednesday (14 November).
Shockingly, a member of the public reported finding the cat inside a recycling bin.
The cat is not microchipped – and has been in the RSPCA’s care since being collected from Pontypool.

As the one-month countdown to Christmas approaches, RSPCA Newport Animal Centre are offering the public the ideal opportunity to get into the festive spirit with their annual Christmas fete.
The fete takes place at Ringland Labour Club, in Newport’s Hillfield area on Saturday (24 November).

RSPCA Cymru has received more than 150 calls in the last five years related to concern for animals and fireworks.
Between 2013 and 2017, the charity recieved 152 calls from across Wales from members of the public concerned that fireworks could be having a damaging impact on animal welfare.
The animal welfare charity is now bracing itself for more calls about animals negatively impacted by the entertainment explosives, as Wales prepares to celebrate Guy Fawkes Night.
