Five dead ponies have been found dumped in a Pentyrch ditch – with a pair of trainers potentially offering a clue as to who abandoned their bodies.
The shocking discovery, on Tyn-Y-Coed Road, has prompted an RSPCA Cymru appeal for information, with a pair of blue Adidas trainers found at the scene potentially linked to the incident.

A cat’s tail has been found on the street in the Splott area of Cardiff.
Members of the public have been advised by RSPCA Cymru to look out for a ginger tabby cat with a missing tail, who may be injured, after the tail was recovered from the Railway Street area.

An appeal for information has been launched following suspected poisonings in the Llandaff North area of Cardiff, which sadly left two cats dead.
The cats were put to sleep on independent veterinary advice after displaying symptoms consistent with being poisoned, including vomiting and neurological disorders as their organs shut down.
Mister and Richard Parker – who lived on Maplewood Avenue in the area – started to appear ill on 12 April.

RSPCA Cymru is urging the public to come forward with information after a cat was fatally shot with a pellet gun in the Rumney area of Cardiff.
The shooting occurred on Tuesday 23 June, between 7pm and 8pm.
Attempts were made to remove the pellet through surgery, but the pedigree male cat – named Mishu – sadly died after going into cardiac arrest.
