The RSPCA is appealing for information after a dog was thrown out of a car and kicked three times by a woman – who then tried to run the dog over – in a Shropshire village.

A member of the public who witnessed the incident managed to catch the German shepherd dog following the incident in Eaton-on-Tern at around 3pm on Saturday (7 April).

A tawny owl who was left completely covered in soot after he got stuck inside a wood burner has been rescued by the RSPCA.

The bird was rescued by an RSPCA inspector after a concerned homeowner contacted the animal charity about the bird’s plight on Sunday evening (19 November).

Inspector Kate Parker went to the house in Criftins, in Ellesmere, Shropshire, to rescue the bird.

An RSPCA centre is appealing for homes for three pairs of best buddy cats who can’t bear to be apart.

The trio of cats – Lionel and Poppy, Perdi and Hilda, and Lopez and Charlie – have all been at the RSPCA’s Gonsal Farm animal centre, in Dorrington, Shropshire, for three months.

Sadly, they have little interest from potential adopters since being available for rehoming.

A dog who made an amazing recovery after being starved and abandoned is still patiently waiting for a new home – after being constantly overlooked by potential adopters at an RSPCA centre.
