An orphaned seal pup rescued from a Llandudno beach in September has been returned to the wild after a spell in RSPCA rehabilitation.
Jon Snow – whose name was inspired by the Game of Thrones character – was weak and lethargic when he was rescued on 30 September on Penrhyn Beach, in Llandudno, North Wales, after he was seen alone and without his mother for at least three days.

A seal pup has been rescued by RSPCA Cymru in remarkable circumstances – after being spotted almost seven miles from the sea in the Vale of Glamorgan!
The charity rescued the pup after it was found in a farmer’s field in Graig Penllyn near Cowbridge on December 21.
RSPCA Cymru believes the pup must have reached the field after undertaking an extraordinary journey up the streams of the River Thaw.

A North Wales seal pup that was rescued by RSPCA Cymru is recovering well, and it is hoped can be released back to the wild in early 2017.
The pup was collected by the RSPCA on the opposite shore from Conwy town, on November 1, after it was found struggling with an eye injury and with no sign of its mother for a considerable period of time.
