A black Staffordshire bull terrier has been found in a ‘truly horrendous state’, in Glynneath, with RSPCA Cymru urgently seeking to find out the circumstances behind the dog’s sad condition.

The charity was contacted after the female dog was seen – on Sunday (17 September) – staggering and rocking in a single spot, with bloody mucus dripping from an open wound on her nose.

Seven newborn kittens have been found dumped “heartlessly” in a carrier bag in Abercynon.

RSPCA Cymru has launched an appeal for information, after the shocking discovery was made by a member of the public on Wednesday (16 August).

Two of the seven kittens were found dead, while another – initially seen to be gasping – later sadly passed away. A mother cat to the kittens was nowhere to be seen.

A stray pet beauty snake has been rescued by RSPCA Cymru in Swansea, prompting a search for the owner.

The snake was spotted by a member of the public, on her window ledge on Bedford Street, in the Morriston area of the city. It soon disappeared – but was later seen by a neighbour in a back garden, and RSPCA Cymru came to collect the animal. The rescue was completed last Thursday (10 August).

A dog has been saved by RSPCA Cymru, after she got her tail trapped by barbed wire in Wrexham.

The charity was alerted after the dog’s plight was spotted by a 17-year-old girl, Molly Garrigan.

She was rescued by RSPCA on 1 August, less than 45 minutes after the charity first received the call.

An appeal for information has been launched, after claims members of the public in Cwmbran witnessed a man set his three dogs on a cat, who was killed by the incident.

RSPCA Cymru and Gwent Police are appealing for information, after the alleged incident took place on 3 July in the Fairwater area of the town.
