Members of the public have “just days remaining” to urge the Welsh Government to bring forward new rules to protect animals in travelling shows.
A consultation considering whether to bring forward new regulations to protect animals in settings like falconry displays, mobile petting zoos and Christmas reindeer shows comes to a close on Sunday (October 8).

RSPCA Cymru continues to take its campaigns roadshow across Wales, with the charity looking forward to chatting to residents at the Rhydyfelin Family Fun Day on Saturday (June 24).
They will be a stallholder at the event, which takes place at Rhydyfelin AFC on Cardiff Road, between noon and 4pm.
Members of the public will be invited to back key animal welfare campaigns at RSPCA Cymru’s stand, with the Fun Day event hosted by the Pontypridd Town Mayor.

Members of the public have been urged to vote with their feet, and give a circus using performing wild animals a miss in Porthcawl this week.
The circus is taking place between 10 May and 14 May in the town, and the charity believes a low turnout at the event is important to further highlight the public’s lack of support.

The 1,000th signature has been obtained for RSPCA Cymru’s new petition, calling for the introduction of an Animal Offender Register.
Members of the public are being urged to back the creation of a register, which would log those who have been convicted of animal abuse and disqualified from keeping them.
The RSPCA fears that it is practically impossible for those re-homing or selling animals to robustly ensure these bans are enforced.

Residents in central Cardiff have been invited to help give animals a voice and support RSPCA Cymru campaigns at the upcoming Cathays Fair.
The charity will be in attendance at the event on Sunday 2 March, between 2pm and 5pm – showcasing many of their animal welfare campaigns.
