The RSPCA is appealing for information after a man drove up to an RSPCA animal centre, got out of his car and abandoned a dog at the gates before driving away.

CCTV footage captured the man driving into a disabled parking bay in a black Mercedes, taking the dog out of his boot and walking towards the gates of Birmingham Animal Centre, in Frankley Green, at around 8.05am on Saturday 26 August.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a turtle with a severely swollen body was found abandoned in a Stoke-on-Trent park.

The musk turtle was found in Hartshill Park on Wednesday (30 August). The member of the public who found the turtle contacted the RSPCA, who transferred the turtle to an exotics vet.

This photo shows the moment a terrified dog was rescued by the RSPCA after being tied up to a gate and abandoned in the middle of a field at night.

The dog was spotted by a member of the public in the field, in Blythe Road, Coleshill, Birmingham, on the evening of Friday, 25 August.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a dog with facial injuries consistent with fighting with badgers was found in Warrington.

The brindle and white lurcher-type dog was found on Saturday (26 August) in a garden on Dark Lane, in Higher Whitley.
