The RSPCA is appealing for information after the dead bodies of a kitten and a cat in a box were pulled out of Walsall Canal.

Latest figures from the RSPCA show more than 300 guinea pigs have been abandoned so far this year which is triple the number dumped last year.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a poorly cat with a deformed tail who was unable to walk was dumped in a box in Stoke-on-Trent.

A group of children witnessed a woman, who had a dalmatian dog with her, dump the cat in Wileman Street at around 4pm on Thursday, 31 August.

The woman, who had short brown hair, allegedly told the children, “If you want to kill the cat, you could.”

The RSPCA is appealing for people to come forward with information after a poorly bulldog puppy who was unable to walk was dumped outside a vets in a pet carrier.

The pup, thought to only be around nine weeks’ old, was abandoned on the steps of Little Lane Vets, in Wigan, on Monday, 4 September.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a pony with a severe injury to her leg was abandoned in a field.

A member of the public reported the pony to the RSPCA after spotting her in an open ploughed field in Whitehouse Lane, in Codsall, South Staffordshire, on Friday, 18 August.
