A collapsed baby deer was ‘brought back to life’ with an oxygen mask after being rescued from a raging moor fire by firefighters and the RSPCA. 

 

RSPCA inspector Daniel Bradshaw was called to moorland off Sand Lane, in Wroot, near Doncaster, on Wednesday afternoon (20 May) by fire crews who had been tackling the fire for three days.

A deer has been rescued by the RSPCA after getting stuck in a tree at Haydock racecourse in Newton le Willows, Merseyside.

 

The Roe deer buck had become trapped with his front legs over one side of a tree and his back legs over the other.

 

The RSPCA was contacted about the animal’s plight on the morning of Wednesday 5 March and animal welfare officer (AWO) Matt Brown and animal collection officer (ACO) Victoria Marsh attended.
