The second RSPCA and PRP Rescue Services Rescue Horse/Pony of the Year is set to be even bigger and better than last year’s competition when the event takes place at Equifest this Saturday, 17 August.

This year, Channel 5 News presenter, Emma Crosby, will be assisting the three judges in selecting the Champion and Reserve Rescue Horse/Pony of the Year at the Peterborough Showground Arena.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after five rabbits were found under a car in St Albans on Tuesday (6 August).

 

The mother rabbit and her four babies (known as kittens or kits) were found in a parking area near to Verulamium Park on Prae Close.

 

A passer by noticed the tan and black rabbits and managed to ask other people to help catch the rabbits before confining them in a dog crate and calling the RSPCA.

She may only be just eight weeks old but already little Fleur has endured more in her short life than many animals will ever face in a lifetime.

 

Little Fleur was born with a hole in her heart and will also need to have one of her legs amputated due to a deformity.

Branch inundated with kittens and cats in recent months.

The Ceredigion branch of the RSPCA is making an urgent appeal for safe and caring homes for the many cats and kittens in their care. The branch is currently full to capacity with 40 cats and kittens and is currently having to put animals on a waiting list until spaces become available.

Mother has already found her new home

Three kittens desperately need to find their forever homes after being dumped outside a Colwyn Bay vet clinic at the beginning of June.

The kittens, two males and a female,  were discovered in a box outside the Prospect House Veterinary clinic on the June 1st along with their mother Kira and were taken to Bryn y Maen Animal Centre for treatment.
