A dead royal python has been found in the Cwmbran area, with bruising on the head and body of the animal.

RSPCA Cymru has launched an appeal for information after the discovery of a still, injured snake was made by a member of the public on 30 December, at Wool Pitch in the Greenmeadow area of the town.

An RSPCA officer collected the two-foot long snake; and veterinary examination sadly confirmed the animal was dead.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a 7ft-long Burmese python was abandoned in a box in Nottingham.

A member of the public found the snake in a plastic box with no air-holes in Kentwood Road, Sneinton, on Monday (9 October) afternoon. They contacted the police, who took the snake to the RSPCA’s Radcliffe branch.

Royal Python Oxford

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a callous owner unloaded their Royal python and vivarium outside a betting shop and drove away leaving the snake stranded on the roadside.

The incident happened at about 5:30pm on Sunday 31 May outside Ladbrokes on Gloucester Street in Oxford. The owner is believed to have unloaded the snake in its tank with some bedding and other equipment outside the shop and then driven off without returning.
