An RSPCA animal welfare officer (AWO) says the moment she returned a rehabilitated fox to the wild marked “one of the best parts” of her job. 

RSPCA officer Paula Milton was contacted after the fox cub was found collapsed in Pontardawe on 22 June, having been involved in a road traffic collision.

Cat owners in Pontardawe have been urged to be cautious, following concerns of suspected cat poisoning incidents in the local area.

RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after a local resident – Muslimah Miah – recently lost her cat Lily, who was little over one-year-old. A toxicology report, from a local veterinary practice, confirmed the poisoning.
