The RSPCA has launched an investigation after a puppy was found ‘buried alive’ in a Leyland field in a ‘hideous act of cruelty’.
A dog walker was out on Saturday (27 April) training their working dogs when they made the shocking discovery.

A dog named after movie character Bruce Almighty had to be rescued by the RSPCA from an island in the middle of a lake – as unlike his namesake, this little pomeranian couldn’t walk on water!
Bruce Almighty got himself in a bit of a pickle after chasing a squirrel onto the island in Pennington Flash Country Park, in Leigh, Greater Manchester.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after the body of a dog with a weight attached to him was discovered in a canal in Wigan.
The Pomeranian-cross was found by a member of the public in the canal near Appley Bridge, close to The Baby Elephant restaurant, on Tuesday (7 June) evening.
He was wearing a blue harness, to which a 1.25kg exercise weight had been attached.
