New homes are being sought for 12 piglets born after their mums were signed over to the RSPCA as part of an ongoing investigation.

 

The Iron Age cross piglets are in the care of Askham Bryan College in Middlesbrough, North Yorkshire, where their mums arrived towards the end of last year.

The RSPCA is appealing for pig lovers to rehome piglets after two rescue sows unexpectedly gave birth to 17 babies.

Gill and Sandra, two pigs, were found in an underweight, neglected state in Boughton-Under-Blean, Faversham, Kent in September. It is not known for sure what breed they are but it is thought likely that they could be a cross between Kune Kune and Vietnamese Pot-Bellied Pig.
