An RSPCA officer had a surprise – after responding to a call about a snake in Pencoed; only to arrive to find an elephant hawk-moth caterpillar!

RSPCA attended the Penybont Road property after concerns that a non-native species of snake was in the garden, where the animal had been confined by a concerned resident.

RSPCA Cymru has helped reunite a 13-year-old lost cat with their owner, after the feline was found stuck between fencing in Pencoed.

The animal welfare charity was contacted after a member of the public found a collapsed ginger cat trapped between fencing on Hafod Las on 26 June.

Four tiny dead puppies have been found in a Salvation Army clothing bank in Bridgend.

The pups were found in the bank at a Co-op shop, at the Square, in Pencoed on Saturday 21 January, after being found by a member of the public.

RSPCA Cymru is urging anyone who may have any information about the incident to contact the charity.
