A cat had the narrowest of escapes after getting shot with a pellet gun in Beddau.
RSPCA Cymru has launched an appeal for information after Milo returned to his Heol Cawrdaf home clearly out-of-sorts and spooked.
His owners found blood coming from his body, and Milo was later breathing erratically.
The nine-year-old cat was rushed to the vets and X-rays found a pellet from an air rifle lodged under his spine.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a cat was shot in Harwood, Bolton.
Three-year-old Edward had to be operated on to have the airgun pellet removed, and vets say he had ‘a lucky escape’, as the pellet just missed his vital organs.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a cat suffered a serious injury when she was shot in a Liverpool street.
One-year-old family pet Tilly spent five days receiving treatment at a vet’s practice after an airgun pellet perforated her bowel, leading her to become very poorly.
It is believed that Tilly was shot with an airgun near to her home in Drakefield Road, Liverpool, sometime on Tuesday 25 April.

RSPCA Cymru is urging the public to come forward with information after a cat was fatally shot with a pellet gun in the Rumney area of Cardiff.
The shooting occurred on Tuesday 23 June, between 7pm and 8pm.
Attempts were made to remove the pellet through surgery, but the pedigree male cat – named Mishu – sadly died after going into cardiac arrest.
