Alexandra – who volunteered for our Chichester branch before moving to Pulborough to set up her own animal sanctuary, was a British actress and sex symbol of the 1960s and 1970s and won acclaim in her home country as the female lead of ITV’s occult detective series The Champions.

RSPCA South East branch operations manager Paul Williams said:

Dedicated animal welfare supporter dies after many years of stalwart support for us and our South London Animal Hospital

We were saddened to learn of the death of Angela Cope OBE, aged 97, on October 28.
