The RSPCA is appealing for information after a dog was found wandering around South Shields in a suffering state.
The black and white male dog, thought to be a Staffy/Border collie cross, was found straying near to the shops on Whiteleas Way on Tuesday 20 March and handed to the dog warden.
He is very thin and suffering from the skin condition demodectic mange.
