The search is on to find a special new home for a Newport-based dog that has been based at an RSPCA centre for six months.
Ollie, is a friendly, loving, white crossbreed dog aged approximately two years of age. He came into the care of the RSPCA after a previous owner was not in a position to provide appropriate care, and he has now been at Newport Animal Centre since April.

A Newport MP swapped the green benches of the House of Commons for the passenger seat of an RSPCA van on Thursday (October 5).
Jessica Morden MP, who represents Newport East, took to Twitter to praise the “excellent work” of the charity, after spending the day attending calls with RSPCA inspector Sophie Daniels in, and around, her constituency.

Two dumped rats were found abandoned in a filthy cage in Newport, without food or water.
RSPCA Cymru was notified after the rats were spotted by a member of the public on a grass verge, in the Moorland Park area of the city.
The rats, one of which is grey, and the other white, were spotted at 9.30am on 24 September, and were not at the location the previous evening.

Dog owners from across Newport and beyond are invited to a special autumnal photo shoot at the RSPCA’s Adoption Centre, at Pets at Home, on Saturday (October 7).
The event, taking place at the Newport store at the Mendalgief Retail Park on Docks Way, allows dogs and their families to have a professional photograph taken, and enjoy a series of fun-filled activities.

RSPCA Newport Animal Centre is seeking donations of unwanted garden furniture.
The centre, based on Hartridge Farm Road, is looking for tables and chairs, in good condition, to use across the site.
Newport Animal Centre found loving new homes for 380 rescue animals in 2016, namely 194 cats, 109 dogs, 51 rabbits and 26 other small animals.
The centre is also seeking donations of large plastic storage boxes, with or without lids, to help store equipment and other items.
