A cat who came into the care of the RSPCA after their owner moved into a care home is now looking for her new forever home.
Gorgeous Tabitha is a five-year-old domestic short haired tabby cat, who has been labelled a “sweet and gentle” cat by staff at the RSPCA Newport Adoption Centre.

A badly-injured tortoiseshell cat with a broken tail and damaged ear has been found outside Cardiff Central Train Station.
RSPCA Cymru was alerted after a member of the public found the injured cat, and took her on the train to her Newport home last Friday (16 August), at approximately 5pm.
The cat – who is now in the care of the RSPCA – was in urgent need of veterinary help, and the tail had to be amputated immediately.

RSPCA Newport Animal Centre “cannot wait” to welcome the public to its annual dog show, BBQ and summer fete on Sunday (7 July).
The Hartridge Farm Road animal centre has organised children’s games, arts, crafts, bric-a-brac, craft stalls, a tombola and more, with the event running from 11am to 3pm.
Entrance is only 50 pence per head, while free parking is available.

A pigeon had a remarkable escape after getting her wing impaled on bird spikes on the side of a Newport building.
RSPCA Cymru was notified after the lethargic, trapped pigeon was spotted with her wing impaled on a building’s bird deterrent, based on High Street in the city.
The bird was left dangling some 15-feet in the air, approximately one storey from the ground.
