The RSPCA says the main issues at this year’s Appleby Horse Fair* were dogs being left in hot cars and the over-working of horses, despite warnings ahead of the annual gypsy and traveller event.

People in County Durham are being urged to be an #AnimalHero this weekend by supporting RSPCA Felledge Animal Centre and going along to their annual Christmas Fair.

 

The RSPCA launched its ‘Everyday Hero’ campaign earlier this month, which urges all of us to do what we can to improve animal welfare, whether it is reporting a case of cruelty, donating unwanted clothes to an RSPCA charity shop or putting food out for the birds in our garden.

RSPCA Cymru make urgent appeal to find owner

RSPCA Cymru is appealing for information after a blind dog was discovered collapsed in a street in Aberdare, Rhondda Cynon Taf.

A poodle was so badly neglected when she was rescued by us that when her matted fur was clipped it was discovered that she had lost her front paws through lack of circulation.

RSPCA Inspector Tony Woodley was horrified when he received a complaint and found 14-year-old poodle/shi-tzu cross breed Cheeky living with her former owner in Brighton.
