Stars of Strictly Come Dancing have helped to put a spring in the step of two abandoned Staffies after they made appeals on social media to help find them a new home.

Reigning dancefloor champion Abbey Clancy was among the stars to send out tweets encouraging a new owner to come forward for Fred and Ginger.

The two lovable staffies were named after the iconic Hollywood dance partners Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.

With the London Marathon fast approaching we are encouraging the public to race to our rehoming centres to adopt these gorgeous greyhounds and lurchers.

We are one of the largest rehomers in the country and are hoping to highlight the plight of some of the dog world’s fastest runners.

These athletic dogs are at the top of their game, just like the marathon runners who will be pounding the streets of London on Sunday.

Today on ITV’s This Morning, two terrier crosses made an appearance in hopes of finding a new home.

Belle and Benji are currently in the care of our Millbrook Animal Centre. When they were discovered they were found to be severely neglected. They were incredibly emaciated, with matted fur, riddled in fleas and mites and covered in their own urine.
