The RSPCA is appealing for information after seven hamsters were dumped in a cage at the side of a residential street in Luton.

The Chinese hamsters were found by a member of the public in Milliners Way on Friday evening (16 December). An RSPCA officer took them to the charity’s Southridge Animal Centre, but one sadly died shortly afterwards as he was so poorly.

Five kittens have been rescued by the RSPCA after they were dumped under a pile of rubbish in a skip in Luton.

The kittens, all tabbies aged around four weeks old, were found in a box in the skip at Shires Waste, in Toddington Road, by a member of staff working for the skip company on Thursday last week (15 September).

The RSPCA is warning about the dangers of glue traps after a robin had to be rescued when he got stuck on one in Luton.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after an emaciated cat – described as one of the thinnest seen at an RSPCA centre – was found under a bush in Luton.

The white female semi-longhair cat, thought to be aged around 10, was found collapsed on Saturday, 6 August, in Hartley Road by three women. They immediately took her to the RSPCA’s Southridge Animal Centre, in Potters Bar.
