An appeal for information has been launched following suspected poisonings in the Llandaff North area of Cardiff, which sadly left two cats dead.

The cats were put to sleep on independent veterinary advice after displaying symptoms consistent with being poisoned, including vomiting and neurological disorders as their organs shut down.

Mister and Richard Parker – who lived on Maplewood Avenue in the area – started to appear ill on 12 April.

RSPCA Cymru is looking for the owner of a pet African pygmy hedgehog – after the animal was found in Cardiff.

The unusual find was made by a member of the public, in the Llandaff North area in Cardiff, shortly before 7am on Saturday, 5 November. The hog was visibly frightened and was shaking.
