A Welsh-medium Cardiff-based primary school has been recognised as 2019’s most compassionate school class across England and Wales, at the RSPCA Honours awards ceremony in London last night.
The Year 3 class at Ysgol Gymraeg Coed y Gof entered their creative animation into the RSPCA competition and beat 700 schools across England and Wales in winning the ‘Most Compassionate Class’ award for 2019.

Nominations for the 2019 RSPCA honours are open – and animal campaigners and advocates across Wales have the chance to pick up a host of gongs.
RSPCA Cymru – alongside celebrity supporter and comedian John Bishop – is urging people across Wales to think about animal champions they may know who deserve recognition for their hard work.

One of our rescue pigs has finally landed on his trotters after being adopted by comedian John Bishop and his family.
Milo the pot bellied pig was snapped up by the family after a video of him was spotted online.
The three-year-old black pig was being cared for at our Block Fen Animal Centre in Cambridgeshire after originally being found wandering around a housing estate in Leicestershire in February 2012 by one of our inspectors.
