There are fears two men deliberately set a dog on a cat in Tredegar in the early hours of Thursday morning (February 8), following reports to RSPCA Cymru.

A Wrexham cat faces the shocking prospect of potentially having his leg amputated after getting caught in an illegal gin trap.

The male ginger cat – named Tigger Bob – returned to his Maelor Avenue home in Penycae, with the device trapped to his leg.

A search is underway for the owner of a lost cat in Cardiff, who was found with microchip details registered over 2,000 miles away in Cyprus.

The ginger and white cat was spotted by a member of the public in the Butetown / Cardiff Bay area of the city on 15 October.

RSPCA Cymru was alerted after it became apparent that the cat – who was snuffling and sneezing – appeared not to have a home to go to.

Four newborn kittens have had a lucky escape after falling down the gap in a cavity wall in a bungalow in Frinton-on-Sea, Essex.

The owners of the bungalow, Sue and Brian Davie, alerted us after hearing the cries of the kittens. Their mother, a ginger cat later found to be almost blind, was located in the loft and it was clear that she had given birth but her offspring were nowhere to be seen.
