A Leicester woman has been disqualified from keeping dogs for a year after admitting to not caring for her dog properly, leading him to become underweight.

German Shepherd-cross Chase was also living in a room of the house with faeces on the floor and was clearly underweight when he was rescued by the RSPCA on 16 September last year.

The RSPCA is investigating after a headless German Shepherd dog was found on a waste ground in South Derbyshire.

A member of the public found the body of the adult male dog in Cadley Lane, Swadlincote, on Tuesday.

The dog was not wearing a collar and did not have a microchip.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after an emaciated elderly German Shepherd was found collapsed in Birmingham.

The male dog, thought to be aged 10, was found collapsed on a grass verge in Blossom Grove, Hodge Hill, on Monday (11 Jan).

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a pregnant dog was dumped in Stoke-on-Trent.

The five year-old German Shepherd was found by a member of the public tied up outside Hanchurch Woods in Stoke at 5.30am on Sunday (September 20).
