The RSPCA is appealing for information after two kittens were dumped in a bin in Gateshead.
They were discovered at around 9am last Monday (28 January) in the industrial bin at the back of St Chad’s Community Project, Liddell Terrace.
RSPCA inspector Suzanne Edgar said: “The person who found them said the bin lid was closed and when they opened it the kittens were just sitting there looking up them.

The RSPCA is making a last ditch appeal to try to find the owner of a dog who died at the vets after being brought in by someone who said they had seen her being kicked and rescued her.
The 10 year old black female Staffy – called ‘Kara’ according to her microchip – was taken to a vet practice in Wallsend on 15 November with breathing difficulties, and died shortly afterwards. She also had large mammary tumours.

The burned bodies of three cats have been found by the side of a public footpath in Kibblesworth, Gateshead.
The cats appear to have been inside a cardboard box, which had also been burned.
They were discovered by someone walking down the popular lane, known locally as ‘The Lines’, at around 2pm on Saturday afternoon (28 January). They called the RSPCA.
