The staff from the RSPCA’s Solent branch will be breathing new life into a colourful range of vintage RSPCA dog-shaped collection boxes in a new competition.

The hidden treasures were found in a storeroom and had not been used for many years, so staff came up with the idea to refurbish them in their spare time as part of a team challenge that will aim to raise money for the animals in their care.

A spring fair raised much-needed funds for the RSPCA’s specialist wildlife centre and cattery in Nantwich.

An RSPCA wildlife centre will soon be able to purchase new equipment thanks to a group of fundraising hairdressers.

Staff from Style Counsel, in Edleston Road, Crewe, celebrated their 25th anniversary by undertaking the five-mile walk to raise money for Stapeley Grange Wildlife Centre, in Nantwich.

A puppy in Coventry who was described by an RSPCA inspector as one of the thinnest dogs she had ever seen has been spoiled with toys and treats donated by a kind-hearted couple who live 175 miles away.

An RSPCA branch is thanking members of the public who donated towards the treatment for a dog with tumours who was dumped in Stoke-on-Trent.

Bubbles, a white Staffordshire bull terrier, was found in Garsdale Crescent, Blurton, on Tuesday, 8 September and was taken into the RSPCA’s care.

She was found to be riddled with tumours and a fundraising drive was launched to pay towards surgery to remove them.
