The RSPCA has rescued a fox cub from a football net, just days before the start of Euro 2016.
The fox was found on Wednesday morning (8 June) tangled in the net in the back garden of a house in Croxley Green, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire.
The homeowner knew something was wrong when her dog started barking continuously from inside the house.

A fox cub was rescued by the RSPCA after he got his head stuck in a plastic jam jar in Northamptonshire.
The young cub was seen by a member of the public in St Peter’s Avenue, in Rushden, who immediately called the RSPCA.

The RSPCA is reminding people about the dangers sports netting can pose to wildlife after a fox cub had to be rescued when he got entangled in one.
The struggling cub, who was only a few weeks’ old, was spotted by a member of the public last Wednesday (20 April) at a school in Beaufort Way, Aldridge, Walsall.
The football netting had wrapped around the cub’s neck and front right paw, leaving him unable to move.
