The circumstances leading to the sad death of a ginger and white cat found in Cardiff has led the RSPCA to launch an appeal for information.

A deceased snake was spotted by a member of the public in the Ely area of Cardiff, with the carcass being thrown and kicked around by a group of boys.

The snake – a boa constrictor – was seen near the Archer Road area, in the western part of the city on Friday (15 December).

A cat from the Ely area of Cardiff has been fighting for his life after being shot in the leg with a pellet from an air rifle.

Dobby, a black and white male cat, went out at 7.40am on 22 February, from a Wheatley Road property, and by the time he returned home at 9.30am, had a visible wound on his body after being shot with a pellet.

RSPCA Cymru is searching for the owner of a white and ginger cat, which was found in the Ely area of Cardiff on Friday 25 November.

The cat was collected by the charity, after it was run over by a member of the public, and was taken to a veterinary practice for treatment.
