A duckling has been rescued after becoming trapped in a storm drain in Durham. 

 

The RSPCA was called at around 9.30pm on Saturday night (11 April) and an officer went straight out to Caterhouse Road.

 

RSPCA Inspector Kaye Forsyth said: “I got there fairly quickly as I was only 10 minutes away from the location.

A plucky duckling which got himself stuck down in underground pipes was safely rescued – after an RSPCA officer played a DUCK video on her phone!

RSPCA Animal Collection Officer Cat Strawford was tasked with rescuing the duckling from Amington Industrial Estate, in Sandy Way, Tamworth, after a concerned member of the public contacted the animal welfare charity.

A young duckling landed himself in hot water – literally – after he managed to get stuck in a car wash at a Tesco’s in Norfolk.

The duckling was found around 4pm on Thursday 27 June at the car wash at the Tesco store in Hunstanton.

He was found soaking wet near to the car wash and was handed in to a worker at the store.
