An American bulldog was found in a “pitiful” condition staggering the streets of a South Wales village, prompting an urgent RSPCA Cymru appeal for information.

The burned remains of a Rottweiler dog have been found in Sunderland.

The male dog was found by a member of the public on a footpath just off Claxheugh Road, South Hylton at around 3pm on Tuesday afternoon (6 March).
