The RSPCA is appealing for information after a dog was found dead in a canal in Mexborough, Doncaster with a block of wood clenched between his teeth.

Three puppies have been found dead in a weighted-down suitcase in the water at the port of Sunderland. The Staffordshire bull terrier types all had a severe skin condition and appear to have been poisoned.

 

The dogs were aged four or five months, and are believed to be from the same litter. Vets suspect the skin condition to be demodectic mange, and that they may have been poisoned with rat poison.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after three Greylag geese were hit by a vehicle on Navigation Road in York on Monday (25 November).

 

The incident happened at about 2.40pm.  RSPCA animal collection officer (ACO) Helen Martindale arrived less than half an hour later to find that two of the birds had been killed.
