The RSPCA is investigating after a cat in Coventry was shot with what is thought to be a tranquilizer dart.

The cat, a male tabby and white long hair which lives in Tennyson Road, was found to have a suspicious dart around 3cm in length in his fur by his owner as she stroked him on Wednesday 7 October.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a severely underweight puppy was found curled up at the side of the road in Coventry.

The four-month-old Lurcher-type dog, who has been named William, was found by a member of the public and was taken to the RSPCA’s Coventry Animal Centre on Wednesday (9 September), where the decision was made to get him seen straightaway at a vets.
