The RSPCA is appealing for information after a seriously ill rabbit was dumped in a picnic basket outside a branch in Coventry.

A man in a silver car was seen dumping the white rabbit by staff at the RSPCA branch in Coundon Wedge Drive at around 11am yesterday morning (Thursday).

The rabbit’s back legs were paralysed and he was covered in faeces.

A dog whose previous owner was caught kicking and punching him on CCTV is still waiting for a new home 14 months later.

Miller, a five-year-old bull mastiff cross, came into the RSPCA’s care in February last year after his then-owner attacked him.

Since then Miller has seen so many dogs come and go into new homes – but is still waiting to be adopted himself.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a cat and her four kittens were dumped in a plastic container in Coventry woodland.

The tabby cat and her kittens – three females and one male, all two weeks old – were found by a member of the public in Cawston Woods, off Cawston Lane, on Wednesday last week (13 April).

Alongside them in the plastic container was a plastic lunchbox with cat food in it.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after an emaciated American Bulldog was found on a Coventry street.

 The dog, who has been named Clara, was found in Nicholls Street, in Hillfields, Coventry, on Wednesday 28 October. She is believed to be aged around two and it is thought that she may have recently had puppies.

A puppy in Coventry who was described by an RSPCA inspector as one of the thinnest dogs she had ever seen has been spoiled with toys and treats donated by a kind-hearted couple who live 175 miles away.
