Three rescue animals with St David’s Day-inspired names are seeking new homes from the RSPCA’s Bryn-Y-Maen Animal Centre.

Davina the cat, Dewi the dog and Dafydd the cockerel are three of the animals seeking a second chance of happiness from the RSPCA centre, at Upper Colwyn Bay, as people across North Wales and beyond mark the day of the patron saint of Wales.

Echo the cockerel - when found

The RSPCA has launched an investigation after a one-eyed cockerel was found dumped and covered in blood by the roadside in a village just outside Banbury last weekend (Sunday, 24 January).

RSPCA South Godstone urgently needs a new home for Charlie their ‘depressed’ one year old cockerel who has lost his hens.

 

Charlie came to the centre, with another cockerel and two hens, after his owner decided he could no longer look after him. His feathered brother and sisters have been rehomed so Charlie is now left on his own.
