A four-foot long adult corn snake has been found lying on a Cyncoed wheelie bin in Cardiff.
The discovery was made in the central Cardiff area on Wednesday (6 February), and RSPCA Cymru were contacted to come to the rescue.
An appeal for information has now been launched in the hope of finding the owner.
The large patterned orange snake was taken into the care of the RSPCA, before being transferred to a specialist reptile centre in Dudley

An elderly cat has been found in the Cardiff area – prompting a search for his owner.
RSPCA Cymru was contacted on Wednesday (11 October), after a ginger cat – struggling to walk, and with cuts on his ears – was found on Harriet Street, in the Roath area of the city.

Residents in central Cardiff have been invited to help give animals a voice and support RSPCA Cymru campaigns at the upcoming Cathays Fair.
The charity will be in attendance at the event on Sunday 2 March, between 2pm and 5pm – showcasing many of their animal welfare campaigns.
RSPCA Cymru will join local businesses, faith groups, schools, voluntary groups and others at the community event.

An appeal for information has been launched by RSPCA Cymru, after a substance poisonous to dogs was found in a container in a Cardiff garden.
Food was found in the container, mixed with a substance believed to be rat poison, in the garden of a Daviot Street property in the Roath area of the city on 12 December. Two dogs – named Troy and Storm – live at the property.
