RSPCA Cymru warn pet owners to be vigilant following attack

RSPCA Cymru is warning pet owners to be vigilant after a cat was shot with an air rifle in Newport. The cat was taken to the vets but sadly died after suffering a heart attack while being treated.

The attack happened on Saturday (06/08/13) in the vicinity of Courtney street. Gwent police have been informed and are investigating the incident.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after a cat was shot in Treorchy, sustaining serious injuries.

The incident happened in Miskin Street on Saturday 15 June. The male black and white five year old cat was shot twice in his mouth and left eye. As a result of the injuries sustained, the left eye had to be removed.

Four cats found dumped in Bicester

The RSPCA is appealing for information after four cats were found dumped in a cardboard box in Buckingham Road, Bicester.

The RSPCA is appealing for information after two young cats were found in a bag in a wooded area in Birkenhead.  A member of the public made the discovery on Wednesday (3 October).

The black and white male and dark tortoiseshell-coloured female are both thought to be aged around five months old.
