Cat returns to overjoyed owner

 

The RSPCA was delighted to reunite a cat with her owner on Tuesday (21 April) – four months after she went missing.

 

Maxine, a long-haired 15-year-old cat, was seen in Leeson Crescent in Barton Seagrave.  Residents had been feeding her occasionally but they became concerned as she was looking thin and her fur was very matted.

‘Marv’ellous rescue of upside down cat

Fire service & RSPCA rescue adventurous feline

 

The RSPCA and Avon Fire and Rescue Service had to join forces last week to rescue a cat who had become stuck in a small gap between two garage walls.

Marv the cat had somehow become firmly wedged upside down in the gap between his owner’s garage and their next door neighbour’s garage in Lydiard Croft, Hanham, Bristol.

Sinbad the kitten stands tall after his epic journey overseas

An eight-month-old kitten has miraculously survived a stormy 16 day journey in a shipping container from Egypt before arriving on the back of a lorry in Hereford.

Named after Sinbad the sailor, the fictional adventurer who took to the high seas, the ginger tabby kitten travelled over 2,000 miles after hopping into a shipping container in Alexandria in Egypt on 8 March.

We are appealing for information after a woman was seen throwing a cat into the Thames at about 8.30pm on Sunday, 28 July.

The middle-aged woman was seen by passers-by carrying a basket to the Greenland Quay before taking out a female tabby cat and throwing her into the water.

Luckily, nearby members of the public sprung to the rescue and leaned over the side of the quay to lift the cat to safety.
