Twenty-one cockerels have been rescued after being abandoned in Northumberland.
The birds were dumped in a wooded area just off the A1, near the village of Belford.
Nineteen of the birds were caught by RSPCA staff and caring members of the public on Friday 10 January.

Two goats who were running around Hartlepool, County Durham for several days in October last year arrived at their new home on Wednesday (16 January).
An enclosure has been specially adapted for the animals at RSPCA Southridge Animal Centre, in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire.

The RSPCA and North Yorkshire Police are appealing for information after a fox was found with his lower jaw caught in an illegal gin trap in York, causing horrific injuries.
The plight of the male fox – known as a ‘dog’ – was first reported to the RSPCA and North Yorkshire Police on Saturday (21 January).
