The RSPCA is appealing for information after a cat with an injury to his tail was abandoned in Marholm near Peterborough.

It appears the young male cat had been taken to a vet by his owner, as when the RSPCA investigated the location where the cat was found, they discovered a vet bandage along with part of the poor cat’s tail.

There was a happy ending for a swan who was released back to the wild on Wednesday (9 September) after being shot in the head with an airgun. 
The stricken swan was rescued by the RSPCA on 1 July after he was found by a passer-by with blood coming from the wound in airgun hotspot on a stretch of river in March, Cambridgeshire

One of our rescue pigs has finally landed on his trotters after being adopted by comedian John Bishop and his family.

Milo the pot bellied pig was snapped up by the family after a video of him was spotted online.

The three-year-old black pig was being cared for at our Block Fen Animal Centre in Cambridgeshire after originally being found wandering around a housing estate in Leicestershire in February 2012 by one of our inspectors.
