A stowaway Balkan Green Lizard from the Island of Kos made an unexpected visit to Wales after finding his way into a holidaymaker’s suitcase.
RSPCA Cymru was alerted after holidaymakers from Bridgend returned to their Laleston home to find the lizard in their suitcase. The discovery was made on Thursday 6 June.

A jackdaw sadly lost his life after becoming stuck to freshly-painted rugby posts at Tondu RFC.
The freak accident happened at the Pandy Park rugby ground, in the area, on 17 July.
RSPCA Cymru attended, after the jackdaw had become stuck on the crossbar, with one of his wings hanging downwards.
The charity attended within 15 minutes of receiving the call about the bird, and accessed the jackdaw via ladder, detaching it from the posts.

Four tiny dead puppies have been found in a Salvation Army clothing bank in Bridgend.
The pups were found in the bank at a Co-op shop, at the Square, in Pencoed on Saturday 21 January, after being found by a member of the public.
RSPCA Cymru is urging anyone who may have any information about the incident to contact the charity.

A terrified cat has been rescued from a tree in Nantymoel, near Bridgend, after joint action from RSPCA Cymru and South Wales Fire & Rescue Service.
Rhubarb became trapped around 20 feet up a tree on Wednesday (12 October). Though the cat was in good health and responsive, he appeared both rigid and scared and was hardly moving.
