An RSPCA inspector is taking on an epic challenge next week, with three fundraising events in three days, to raise money to help the RSPCA help animals in need.

 

Sarah Bagley, who is the local inspector for Bradford, Brighouse and Mirfield in West Yorkshire, is swimming two miles across Lake Windermere, Cumbria as part of the Great North Swim on Friday 12 June.

A missing husky called ‘Murphy’ has been reunited with his family in Bradford thanks to the RSPCA.

 

He was signed over to an RSPCA inspector who visited a house in Manchester where the owner said they couldn’t look after their two dogs any more.

We’re  appealing for information after a white rabbit was found with both ears cut off and a broken back leg in a Bradford park.

The rabbit was found straying in the park near Dirkhill Road, Bradford on Sunday, 12 October by a member of the public, who took the rabbit home and called us.

Our inspectors are appealing for witnesses after two teenage boys were seen throwing a black and white cat over an 8ft high fence.

The boys were walking along a pathway behind homes in Shetcliffe Lane, in Bradford when they were caught on CCTV. They picking the cat up by the scruff of the neck and hurling her to some dogs on the other side of the garden fence.

A dog removed from his owners because of concerns he was being beaten is ‘passing out’ as a West Yorkshire Police dog today (Friday 1 November). 

German Shepherd dog ‘Chance’, as he’s been re-named, was found to be living in a small, dark kennel with no access to food or water outside a house in Bradford.

His owners signed him over to us but rehoming him was difficult because of his nervous and aggressive behaviour.
